As all business activities, the Transport world must consider the environment, in this case decarbonisation, by developing its offers (Fleet electrification, green fuel, multimodal transport, etc.).
The stakes regarding transports for the Automotive industry are huge, from meeting regulatory challenges, to reducing costs, to effectively tracking goods. In this context, reducing carbon emissions of its transport flows is a common requirement for all companies.
The aim of the “Green & Efficient Transport” workgroup is to monitor the implementation and impacts of “green transport” solutions: understand the requirements, identify and evaluate best practices offers, and anticipate the consequences for the automotive supply chain (Network design, lead times, filling rates of the transport means, inventory management, infrastructure…).
