The scope of this pre-study should be Medium and Long term forecasts (to be defined precisely within the work group) as opposed to the Short term demand phase used for the execution of the manufacturing operations.
Forecasts will need to link a vision on finished vehicles to the components used or manufactured throughout the supply chain.
The topic of this study should not be crisis management, which relates to short term exception management.
The objective of this exploratory study is to determine if there is an opportunity of work on an improved medium and long term collaborative forecasting process between automotive partners of the automotive industry.
